Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee, Inc. (SMTCCAC) was incorporated as a 501(c)3 in August 1965. This occurred after three Calvert County residents acted out of concern over the level of poverty in their county.

Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) at SMTCCAC, Inc

SMTCCAC, Inc. proudly serves as the local administering agency for the Maryland State Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. OHEP provides critical assistance to help manage the cost of home energy bills, prevent utility service disconnection, and minimize heating crises during the winter. We are dedicated to supporting our community by ensuring residents have access to necessary resources to keep their homes warm and safe. Our office hours are 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We encourage all eligible residents to apply and utilize these vital services to maintain energy security and comfort in their homes.
